Isaac Gibson was born on 22 March 1879 at Downpatrick, Co Down. He was the son of Samuel and Charlotte Gibson, of Belfast. He was married to Ellen Duncan Gibson of Sidney St., Saltcoats, Ayrshire.
He is commemorated on Plymouth Naval Memorial Panel 27 and on a Gibson family memorial at Dundonald Cemetery, Belfast.
