Charles Kennett was born 21 July 1883 at East Ashling, Hampshire and Joined the Royal Navy on 11 January 1901. Prior to joining submarines he served in the battleship HMS HANNIBAL.  He is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial Panel 24.
