Alexander Scott was born in Aberdeen on 2 December 1888. He was married to Elizabeth (née Donnelly) and was a native of Dundee. He was drowned when the compartment he was in flooded during the collision with HMS K22.
He is buried in Dundee Eastern Cemetery.
