The Royal Navy Valkyries have achieved an extraordinary feat, successfully completing the World’s Toughest Row by rowing over 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. This remarkable all-female team demonstrated the very best of Naval values – resilience, determination, and teamwork – as they took on one of the world’s most challenging endurance events.

The Valkyries embarked on this epic journey not only to push their physical and mental limits but also to raise awareness and funds for vital causes. The Valkyries are the all female team, part of HMS Oardacious, a fund that supports the mental health and well-being of the Submarine community and their families. The fund provides access to essential resources, helping those who serve below the waves cope with the unique challenges of life in the Submarine Service.

This outstanding effort highlights the importance of coming together to support our Submarine family and the wider Royal Navy community. By completing this challenge, the Valkyries have shone a spotlight on the resilience of our Service personnel and the value of initiatives like HMS Oardacious in fostering mental health support and awareness.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Valkyries on their awe-inspiring achievement and thank them for their dedication to such an important cause. Their courage and determination are an inspiration to us all.
