Albert Marshall was born on 4 March 1896 in Islington, London, the son of Albert Edward and Eliza (née Cook) Marshall.
He joined the Royal Navy on 19 January 1911, seemingly quoting a date of birth of 4 March 1892, which would have made him 18, when in fact he was just short of 15 years old.
He disappeared on the night of 28 August 1919, having last been seen on the casing of HMS K15. His drowned body was recovered from Portsmouth Harbour and he is buried in Haslar Naval Cemetery.
He was married to Emily Marshall and they lived in Tottenham, London.
