Great Grandad JF Buttle was my Nan’s (Vera) dad.
He passed away when Nan was a few months old and his wife was pregnant with Vera’s sister.
It was a very difficult time for the family.
Vera went on to have 3 girls, Grandchildren and GreatGrandchildren.
She passed away 3 years ago in Plymouth at home with Annette her middle daughter.
His GreatGrandson is a 20yr Royal Marine, now serving at 9yrs as a Submariner.
