Kevin George Crook was born in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, on 4 March 1963. He was the son of Mr Crook and Mrs Margaret Ann Crook (née Blackford).
It is not known when he joined the Royal Navy but he trained as a Medical Assistant. He joined submarines at HMS DOLPHIN in 1984 and is known to have served/trained at the Institute of Naval Medicine (INM) at Alverstoke and to have served in HMS NEPTUNE at Faslane.
By 2004 he was a Petty Officer Medical Assistant and was serving in HMS SPLENDID. He is reported to have died on 12 January 2004 (as recorded in the Plymouth Registration District) although the circumstances of his death are not yet established. His funeral took place at the Gornal Wood Crematorium in Dudley, West Midlands, on 28 January 2004.
Kevin Crook was the husband of Sandra K Crook (née Wesson) – they were married in Plymouth in August 1986.

Kev was a great bloke. On SM Course together at Dolphin & INM Alverstoke. Also served with him up at HMS Neptune around 88-89. I was at HMS Drake when he passed. Greatly missed & often spoken of. RIP Shipmate.
