Arthur Willoughby Brewer was born in Bath, Somerset on 27 July 1882. He joined the Royal Navy on 10 August 1903 at HMS DUKE OF WELLINGTON at Portsmouth, and served under just the name Arthur Brewer.
He entered submarines on 10 August 1915 at HMS ADAMANT at Mudros in the Aegean for service in HMS H3 on 1 April 1916.
He married Gertrude Fell in 1903, and is commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial Panel 15.
