Ken was my mother’s older brother (My uncle).
Their mother learnt that Ken was missing, presumed dead, on my mother’s 21st birthday – August 20 1940. They lived in Portsmouth.
I find it very moving seeing this account. Just like the war memorial on Southsea Common which lists all who died in the wars. RIP Uncle Ken.
