The son of Edith Alice Elliott, Ronald Elliott was one of the 52 who survived the sinking of HMS OSWALD by an Italian destroyer on 1 Aug 1940 and were taken prisoner by the Italians. He later tried to escape but on 19 November 1944 he was challenged and shot dead.
He was the husband of Olive Lilian Elliott, of Chiswick, Middlesex and was buried in Florence War Cemetery XII. G. 3.
