George Lord was born in 1921, the second child of James and Hilda Lord, of Oldham, Lancashire.
The eldest child, Elsie, was born in 1920 and his younger brother, Eddie, followed in 1928. At the same time George was lost Elsie also lost her fiancé, Edward out in the Far East.
George is commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Panel 79, Column 3.
