Albert Marshall was born on 4 April 1895 at Lambeth, London. He was the son of Ernest Albert and Alice Marshall, of Cornwall Rd., Brixton, London. He joined the Royal Navy on 3 September 1913 and served in the destroyer HMS FAULKNOR before joining HMS G9. He is commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial Panel 24.
