HMS C29 (Lt W R Schofield) was lost off the Outer Dowsing light vessel off the Humber on 29 August 1915 while working submerged in telephone cable contact with the armed trawler Ariadne on an anti-U-boat patrol. It is believed that she was inadvertently towed into a mine by the Ariadne. The wreck was discovered by divers in 1996.
