HMS SUNFISH had a distinguished war record in the Royal Navy, particularly in 1940 when she sank four merchant ships and damaged two more, operating in the Kattegat.

In April 1944, SUNFISH, together with several U Class submarines, was transferred to the Soviet Union and renamed V-1 (q.v.) and was unfortunately sunk by a RAF Liberator.
