2nd anniversary of the Submariners Memorial at The National Memorial Arboretum

Over 250 members of The Submarine Family attended the 2nd anniversary of the Submariners Memorial at The National Memorial Arboretum on Saturday the 25th of May 24. The service was conducted by SUBFLOT Chaplain, Rev Mark Street, supported by a quintet from The Royal Marines Band, with readings from Cdre Paul Dunn, Holly Tait ( TS Venomous), Steve Phillips, with the act of remembrance and Kohima Epitaph read by John Bradbury.

The service, conducted in the Staffordshire sunshine, saw 14 standard bearers from The Submariners Association and We Remember Submariners form a guard around the Submariners Memorial during the service.

The Submariner’s Memorial was unveiled on 18 May 22 by HRH Prince of Wales ( Duke of Cambridge at the time), and was designed by sculptor Paul Day based on the design by the Groves Family.
