There was a great turnout in Blyth by members of all 3 North East Branches of the Submariners Association.
They along with members of the Royal Naval Association (RNA) and various other local organisations came together to pay their respects to the fallen.
Blyth is synonymous with the Submarine Service as the town was a major submarine base during both WW1 and WW2.
Local tributes and memorials include the anchor from HM S/M Tiptoe and various benches acknowledging the service including one for HM S/M Onslaught, Blyth’s adopted Submarine.
