Submariners Assocation Annual Remembrance Parade and Service
The Submariners Association will hold its Annual Remembrance Parade in London on the weekend of 2-3 Nov 24.

SATURDAY 2 NOVEMBER 2024
Timings Serial
1100 Nominated volunteers for the set-up of the Remembrance Garden at Westminster Abbey to muster at the West door of Westminster Abbey.
1245 All personnel muster in The Deans Yard, Westminster Abbey
1255 Move to West Cloisters.
1300 History of the Poppy Field of Remembrance followed by Dedication of the Submarine Service plot at the Poppy Field of Remembrance, Westminster Abbey – All welcome.
O/C West Cloisters, brief on Submariner statue.
O/C Service of Remembrance in West Cloisters and laying of Wreath at the Submarine Memorial.[1]
O/C Move inside Abbey for brief on the Tomb of Unknown Warrior
O/C Stand down.
SUNDAY 3 NOVEMBER 2024
From 1100 Middle Temple Gardens open and available as the pre-parade muster point.
1145 All personnel to be mustered at the Middle Temple Gardens (Middle Temple Lane, London EC4Y 9AT)
1150 Parade will fall in – Middle Temple Gardens (Fair Weather) as detailed in the attached parade formation plan or inside Middle Temple Hall Library (Wet Weather).
1215 COSM Arrives Middle Temple Gardens – Benchers Entrance, met by VIP Group.
O/C March on the Standards
O/C VIP Group make their way to the front of the parade.
O/C General Salute.
1230 Service commences.
There will be a 2-minute silence during the service.
Whilst wreaths are laid at the Drumhead, the names of all RN Submarines lost will be read out by volunteers.
After the Blessing Submariners Salute to Absent Friends.
O/C Standards to March Off.
O/C Wreaths to be taken and repositioned at the SM Memorial.
Note – In the event of wet weather the parade will be held in Middle Temple Hall Library.
