As it is Mental Health Awareness, We thought it was a perfect opportunity to inform you of the Armed Forces (AF) Suicide Prevention strategy which has recently been launched. 

We are thrilled that they refer to postvention (care of those bereaved by suicide) in their strategy. 

Ultimately the Armed Forces Suicide Bereavement Pack that Suicide Bereavement UK (SBUK) are currently developing will help to inform and address a key objective in the AF suicide prevention strategy.

The AF suicide bereavement pack has been informed by research conducted by my team at SBUK.  I will be presenting findings from the study at Suicide Bereavement UK’s international hybrid conference in September.
