Wednesday 26th of  August seen both students and instructors from  SMQ get together for a whole team summer BBQ and sports afternoon at Helensburgh Rugby Club. The event, sponsored by The Submarine Family,  saw over 100 trainee submariners and staff enjoy a break in studies to enjoy a team building afternoon much the same as a submarines ships company would, showing the trainees that there is more to life than work, work, work.

Hampered by the weather, and short staffed PTI support, the games included some competitive 5 a-side games and a final tug-of-war, but the day was mostly spent enjoying the great food prepared by Helensburgh Rugby Club and a chance for the staff to engage with the trainees outside of the classroom.

This would not have happened if it were not for the support of RNRMC and The Submarine Family, and SMQ thank them for their generous contribution to what was a great afternoon.
