A sad day for the flotilla. SMQ South in HMS Devenport hosted its final pass out parade as it brought an end to decades of training excellence to new RN Submariners on the 25th of May.
The Submarine family supported the event by providing funding for the event, which was attended by Cdre Paul Dunn and many families of the successful students, to witness them embark on the next stage of their wonderful careers.
Commodore Paul Dunn OBE, Commander Steve McClean and Lt Cdr James Aston all made the trip south to mark the event and made the time to ensure all trainees and families were looked after and answered any questions they may have had.
Special mention has to be made to WO1 Crawford and CPO Foran for their integral leadership and guidance to all students coming through the doors of SMQ south in recent years.
All future SMQ classes will now take place in HMNB Clyde.
